A peripatetic nanny is a nanny employed directly by the company on permanent back up basis, to provide backup childcare for any and all of their employees to cover the break down of the employee’s permanent childcare provisions.
This gives the company huge advantages as it is a permanent back up system to cover every possible eventuality should an employee need support sourcing childcare at very short notice.
Parents are usually anxious at the prospect of using outside childcare at short notice as they generally do not have an opportunity to build a relationship with the providers of the emergency childcare. This can affect the parent’s performance at work on the day, resulting in poor productivity.
